AFABW Los Angeles Chapter Holiday Party

14 Dec 2025 the LA chapter of AFABW held a Holiday Party at the LA Church of Scientology on Sunset Blvd.

The get-together was down in the theater and started with a pot luck reception with holiday music performed on piano by member Javier Medra

President of AFABW International, Barbara Cordova, gave an overview of the group’s accomplishments and then showed a video highlighting AFABW’s outreach activities utilizing arts and social betterment.
She acknowledged the active volunteer members who were there – Randall Michael Tobin (Media and Website Dir), Lallah Rowe (Deputy and Promo Dir), Becky Mate (World Art day establishment), Andrea Zastawny (volunteer) –

Leslie Merkovich Brown, the Field Activities Exec at the Church, welcomed the group and talked about her history in the film industry and the making of a Human Rights film titled “United.”

Randall and Barbara both screened original holiday song videos, Lallah Rowe read her “Christmas Mouse” story and talked about the History of Hollywood and AFABW becoming “the new Hollywood,” Ja’son Manwill performed on the piano, and Javier Medra led the group in a holiday song sing-along.

The intimate event revitalized the attendees and got a few interested in volunteering for the group.
