LA Chapter takes part in the Montrose Art Fair
June 7th and 8th, 2025, Artists for a Better World had a booth at this top local community Art Fair, which happened to be donated to our non-profit! This was the 4th time at The Fair, and it is our favorite.
With around 40,000 people, including hundreds of artists, AFABW created good PR, made friends with artists and got new contacts, and sold art! We also had the popular kids art table where youth do drawings, and also get Good Choices books.
We also gave out AFABW promo, 91 The Way to Happiness books, and 29 “Get High on Art, Say no to Drugs” coloring books, and raised money for these books to get sent to our chapter in The Gambia.
Member Ginette Gutierrez was thrilled to take part and even sold $1,900 of her original art.
Sally Bosley also sold her original art.
Others who took part were Lallah Rowe, Rebecca Mate, John Hambright and Lynda Hubbard
“I’m an artist that just started selling my paintings in January this year. Since joining the group I’ve been invited to show my art at the Montrose Art Fair with Artists for a Better World. Such a great opportunity as a beginner, everything was provided, and I didn’t have to go through any vetting process. On my first day I sold two paintings! I spoke to lots of admirers and was able to make some strong connections face to face with interested buyers! I spoke to artists at the fair and spread the word about Artists for a Better World, and was able to further spread the message of The Way to Happiness. Also while working at the fair I got to work with other members of AFABW, a great, supportive group of artists who really want everyone to win. I had the best time, I can’t wait to keep going with this group.” Ginette Gutierrez
