AFABW Texas Chapter – Oak Hill Social

Our Texas chapter inspired the participation of many local artists at Oak Hill Social in Austin on the 27th of October.

Throughout the event chapter director Michelle Platt was approached by new artists wanting to take part in our future events.

Silvia Strang and Jorge Aguero presented wonderful craft items and soft music on instruments made by Jorge himself, inspiring the art of dance. Daniella and Robert Jakiel presented amazing 3-D works of art. Dancer Genevieve King was also there helping out.

Diane Woods manned the AFABW booth and handed out The Way to Happiness books to a girls’ soccer team from San Antonio.

Diane, who has traveled extensively in her life, met artists who grew up there in that neighborhood and was struck by the hometown feeling of the event.
